How often do you get to play golf? Do you play on any tours or in tournaments?
Brian Richter
Plantation Palms Golf Club
Being in the golf business is similar to being a priest. Once you take that vow to be in the business, don’t even think about playing again. I am very happy if I can get
out for 9 holes once a week. As the heat of the summer comes along is when I will get to play 18 holes a week and when I try to play as many tournaments that I can in
the North Florida section.
John R. Cameron, Jr.
PGA Director of Golf
Daytona Beach Golf Club
I play golf at least once a week. Usually 9 holes with my son on an off day. Sometimes I get out of the office for 5-7 holes while I am doing on course inspection of playing conditions, usually in the afternoon. Customers ask me questions about playing conditions, and it helps if you can say that you have played the golf course, and that you can offer comment based on your own observations. I play an 18-hole round twice a month. Once on each course.
Mike Regner
Director of Golf
Rio Pinar Country Club
I play 1-2 times a week. I have not missed a chapter or section event in 8 years. I was fortunate to qualify for the Tampa Bay Classic last week at Innisbrook. It was
the first tour event that I have played in. Those guys are good! (great slogan). The difference in the course set up is amazing. I shot a million, just got back from a chapter pro-am at Victoria Hills where I shot 15 shots less than I did Friday at Innisbrook.
Roger P Masterson
Stoneybrook Golf Club
As the Director of Golf I only get to play about once a week. I do however play in about 6 or 7 Club Pro Tournaments a year. For all of those folks that think all we do is
play golf as a Club Pro as you can see that is not the case. But I wouldn’t trade what I do for a living for anything..
Randy Robbins
Head Golf Professional
Plantation Inn and Golf Resort
When I first started in the golf business (7 years ago) it was easy to make time to play at least 5 or 6 times a week. I may play once a week if I have time and if my back,
knee, elbow and what ever else aren’t hurting.
