Just Chill

A Stay and Play Getaway can be perfect stress reliever. Just combine relaxing spa treatments, good food, class accommodations, easy going people to play golf with and it’s hard not to relax.

This is the groovy weekend I had at The World Golf Village in St Augustine a couple of weeks ago. My fun loving friends and I played the awesome Slammer and Squire golf course. Some of us went to the PGA Spa At Laterra before the game for a little pre game chill down. I had been a guest there before, and was treated to one of the best massages ever by a talented man named Daniel. I have been privileged to some great spa experiences in some pretty swanky spas and without a doubt Daniel’s techniqe of energy work and Swedish combined was the best ever and well worth the drive. So I was glad t here he was available that day. After golf we went to check out the fun and food at Murray Bros, Caddy Shack where we yucked it up with some crazy fun people at the bar then retired to our comfortable room at The Renaissance Hotel. So go up for a long weekend and say hi to Tom and Booker at the bell stand (love those guys) tell them I said to tip them big , they always remember me.

I’m sure you’ve noticed….our staff is growing lately. Our latest addition is area account representative Brian Ancona. He will be working and playing all over the southwest coast.

After playing just a couple of holes at the Ritz Sarasota, I realized our caddy had more to offer than course management and historical presentation on the beautiful Tom Fazio design. Brian is originally from Detroit and moved to Sarasota December 05 to pursue his career in the golf industry. He has been playing with his brother for years and played in high school, he loves the game for both the competitive and relaxing characteristics. Brian sees the magazine as an outlet for his desire to become more involved in all aspects of the game. We are pleased to welcome Brian, and his youthful wit to the success of the magazine.
