SUBARU JOINS CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Friends of BASCA are happy to announce that SUBARU OF AMERICA has signed up as the Title Sponsor for the third annual BASCA charity golf tournament.
BASCA is a small non-profit 501(c)(3) charity organization based in Clay County that supports developmentally disabled children and adults in Northeast Florida.
The 2008 Subaru BASCA Golf Classic is scheduled for Friday, March 28, 2008, at the Eagle Harbor Golf Club with a 12:30 pm shotgun start and a captain’s choice
format. A box lunch, sponsored by Chick-fil-A, will be provided prior to golf and the awards dinner, sponsored by Carrabba’s Italian Grill, are included in the price.
The cost of $85 per individual or $300 for a foursome includes golf, cart, range balls, lunch, dinner, non-alcoholic beverages, door prizes and golf prizes. The tournament will also include a hole-in-one contest with a new 2009 SUBARU FORESTER as the grand prize and bonus prizes on the remaining par 3’s. There will also be multiple proximity contests and a silent auction. The previous two tournaments were very successful in raising over $27,000 to purchase generators for two residential homes and a new passenger van for work and activity transportation. The money raised this year is earmarked for the purchase of a much-needed handicapped accessible passenger van for those with special needs.
In appreciation of their continuing support to BASCA for the past thirteen years, the Friends of BASCA have selected Mr. Robert Turnage, President of Island Mechanical Contractor, Inc., and Mrs. Karen Turnage, Vanguard GMAC Reality, as Honorary Chairpersons for the 2008 Golf Classic.
