Cart Girl – August 2007

Sarah Peerani

Where are you from? Where did you grow up?
I was born & raised in Jacksonville, FL. I grew up with the same 80 kids at a Private Catholic School until I moved to Oviedo my 8th grade year.

Tell us about your family. Are they golfers?
I’m the youngest of three. Born into a Colombian(mom) – Pakistani(dad) mix. My sister never really got into golf, but since I’ve been working at golf courses, my brother has definitely been taking advantage! At least when he has a chance.

Proudest moments in life thus far?
Becoming an Aunt or “Tia” to a handsome little fellow, Waylon

Who is your favorite person?
I’d have to say my sister. Even though she’s 12 years older than me and growing up we weren’t really close she is and was always there for me and has been a more than perfect role model of a woman I’d hope to become.

What makes this club special?
Everyone who works and plays here! Sometimes I’ll dread coming to work just because it’s early or I may have had a little too much fun the night before, but from my co-workers to the members, they always know just how to put a smile on my face!

If you weren’t a cart girl, what would you be?
Hot dog eating contestant… HA just kidding! No, I’d like to be doing something within my major. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what but something along the lines of some kind of Public Relations or marketing position.

What is your best asset?
My ambition. My family taught me to never settle for less than what you’re worth, and I don’t plan to.

What is in your refrigerator?
Lots of Fiji water, cinnamon cream cheese to go with my alternative bagels, that new V8 tropical splash, and some sandwich meats.

What is your ideal date?
Something that took a little bit of effort to put together instead of just a dinner and a movie. The conversations would be great and wouldn’t lack any substance. Just being there with him would be more than ideal and of course, a sweet and soft kiss to end the “perfect” date.

Do you have pets?
Yes! Actually, it’s a little kitty one of the guys who work here saved for me that use to run around the club, her name’s Mello.

I feel most comfortable when....
I’m with people that mean the most to me. You guys know who you are.

The last time I cried was....
last week when I read an email my Dad sent me. It’s been over a year since he’s moved back to Pakistan. We keep in touch through weekly updates, but there was just something about the email that made me miss him so much I cried. I’m not gonna lie– I’m such a Daddy’s girl.

When I look in the mirror I see....
a confident young woman who’s got everything to gain and nothing to lose.

My favorite movie of all time...
super tough but I’m a sucker for old movies- Come September with Rock Hudson, Gina Lollobrigida, and Sandra Dee.
